Fairgrounds Golf Course

The Olde Barnstable
Fairgrounds Golf Course, which borders the
Cape Cod’s largest sand plain conservation
area, opened in 1992. The Mark Mungeon
design has 18 holes of golf that are as
challenging as they are scenic. This par
71 course is owned and operated by the
Town of Barnstable.
Fairgrounds is located in Marstons Mills,
less than 1 mile off from Exit 5 off of
Route 6. This area of Cape Cod is a
combination of wooded conservation area
and a quiet residential area. Next door
there is a grass air field that has
gliders and sky divers that can be seen
from the course.
The Course has four sets
of tees for players of all abilities with
yardages ranging from 6479 yards from the
tips and 5072 yards from the forward tees.
It is one of the best walkable courses on
Cape Cod and has large undulating greens
and an attractive layout, which is nicely
maintained with professional and courteous
The Golf Shop is fully
stocked with name brand products and the
restaurant has a fully menu of pub food.
The practice area has 23 hitting stations
with a chipping area, sand bunker and
Fairgrounds Golf Course has played host to
several USGA qualifiers, WGAM, NEPGA
events as well as the home of the Cape Cod
Open. This is an municipal course with the
Private Course feel, it should be on your
“Must Play” list on Cape Cod.
